5 reasons why you shouldn’t be a part of WakeUpNow

I’m sure you’ve heard of it. “Changing peoples lives,” “Become financially free,” “Be your own boss!” These are all things that are said from people involved in WakeUpNow. While I am firm believer in making your own path to become successful, companies like WakeUpNow and other multi-networking companies, have the sole purpose of making money off of lying, manipulating, and selling dreams to their customers.

1.) If you have to pay to work somewhere, you are a customer, not an employee.
This one is pretty simple. Why someone in the right mind would pay a membership fee to have access to a “portal” is absolutely absurd.
“BUT IF YOU GET THREE PEOPLE TO JOIN IT’S FREE!!”

wrong.

If you get three to join your membership is WAIVED. But don’t worry, the company is still getting $300.00 per month from the people you just wrangled into this program. You should never have to pay to become part of a business unless you are truly investing in something, like stock. It’s cloak and dagger how they present their company as “free to join,” however to access the program, it’s $100.00 per month.

2.) Job securi-what?

So you work at a job that you don’t entirely enjoy and you find yourself looking at WakeUpNow as a potential escape from that job to CHANGE PEOPLES LIVES. There is however, a large problem with that. Job Security. That job that you may not fully enjoy will continue to pay you, week after week, month after month, year after year. WakeUpNow will require your $100.00 deposit each month, every month, and if you don’t find “recruits” you won’t make any money, at all. Using fancy terms like “residual income” to cover their butts from the fact that the average multi networking marketer makes less than a waitress.

Taken directly from Wikipedia - Multi-level Marketing
“Roland Whitsell, a former business professor who spent 40 years researching and teaching the pitfalls of multilevel marketing”: “You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone making over $1.50 an hour, the primary product is opportunity. The strongest, most powerful motivational force today is false hope.”

3.) What friends?

They tell you to branch out, talk to friends, get them to join! They’d be crazy not to! Here’s another problem, after you exhaust your 1000 Facebook friends, and your twitter tweeter no longer wants to link your “website,” what then? Network marketing requires a continuous stream of clients that are interested in your product, but it’s hard enough to sell a product that doesn’t do anything. If you become a part of it you better hope all your friends join because once you exhaust your friends, it’s all downhill from there.

4.) What difference?
I have heard this statement a million times, “i’m making a difference!” What difference are you truly making to someones life? If you mean that you are making a difference by convincing people to contribute to a collapsing business, or that you are now making money off your friends, or that you’ve convinced someone that they don’t have to work to get money, then I guess you’re right.

5.) Success
Success is getting down and dirty, never giving up, and finding your own path. This is not the path you should take to try and become successful. If you are down on your luck, in a rut, or you are looking to find some way to make a little cash, find your own way! We live in the 21st century where we have access to literally MILLIONS of people, everyday! Starting a mini-business is as easy as making a Facebook page! Granted, you can never give up or ever slow down, you can still do it! Believe in yourself! You don’t need some tailcoat to hitch a ride on and hope to make money! If you love to knit, go knit and sell it on Etsy! You love antiques, go sell on Ebay! You love to take photos like me, make a Facebook page and website! I won’t say i’m super “successful” or that I am making a million dollars, but I am doing what I love and every time I look at how far i’ve come, I know that it was me, and it could be you to.
